Petite Sirah-Petite Sirah Wine Sorbet
Try this as a mid-palate cleanser or as a light treat!
Create Simple Syrup:
Combine 1 1/4 cups water and 1 1/4 cups sugar, heat and stir until sugar is dissolved. Refrigerate over night.
Make the Sorbet:
Combine 1 1/2 cups simple syrup with 3 1/2 cups of Chumeia Petite Sirah or another Chumeia wine of choice plus 1/3 cup fresh squeezed lemon juice into an ice cream maker for about 30 minutes. Freeze for 3 hours. For a smooth consistency, add 1 tablespoon vodka, it won't impart flavor or freeze. To make the sorbet sweeter, boost the simple syrup and use less wine.
